Whether you are drawn to the idea by simple curiosity, are looking for a stress reliever that is always at your fingertips, or you feel ready to make the commitment and become a practitioner, a workshop or class provides the setting.  As you read through the offerings listed below, know that your path can begin with either an Introduction to Reiki Workshop or a Reiki I class.

If your goal is to have the ability to provide Reiki to yourself, family, and friends (even pets, plants, and tech gadgets!), you may choose to complete Reiki I training.  If you see yourself establishing a business practice for treating others, then you would also include Reiki II in your plan.  Advanced Reiki Training and Reiki III – Master Training are for those who recognize their strong desire to learn more about the practice of Reiki.

Introduction to Reiki Workshop

Are you interested in Reiki, but unsure if a class is right for you?  This introductory workshop is designed to provide a basic understanding of Reiki energy, its origin, founders, levels of healing, and explanation of the attunement ceremony.  You will also experience a Guided Meditation on the Five Reiki Principles.

Reiki Level I (Shoden)

Reiki I is the foundation step in Usui / Tibetan style of Reiki Healing Mastery – a true journey in self-discovery.

Through lecture, demonstration, discussion, and hands-on practice in self-treatment, you will learn the history of Reiki, the Reiki Principles, the major chakras, the Pillars of Reiki Treatments, conducting a self-treatment, and an introduction to the treatment of others.  Upon successful completion of the class you will receive a Reiki I Attunement.

Reiki I for Teens will cover all the material needed for Reiki I in a slightly different format.  Students will learn the history of Reiki, the Reiki Principles, the major chakras, the Pillars of Reiki Treatments, conducting a self-treatment, and an introduction to the treatment of others.   They will also take a virtual tour of significant Reiki sites in Japan.  Students will receive a Reiki I Attunement.

Prerequisite: None, other than age minimum of 14 for Reiki I for Teens class.
Class Length
: Approximately 10-12 hours* of class time; typically conducted over two days (not consecutive days unless requested) , plus independent study before Days 1 and 2.  *Reiki I for Teens is approximately 8-10 hours
Materials:  Included in the exchange for the class are the Reiki: The Healing Touch, First and Second Degree Manual along with supplemental charts and materials from Patricia Parente Reiki.

Reiki Level II (Okuden)

Reiki II is the second step in Reiki Healing Mastery.  The prerequisite for this class is the successful completion of Reiki I.  Reiki II is presented as a combination of lecture, discussion, meditation, and demonstration and practice of treatment of others; distance healing is also practiced.  You will learn the three Second Degree Reiki Symbols, their meaning and use, and you will receive guidance in establishing a professional Reiki practice.  Upon successful completion, you will be recognized as a Reiki II Practitioner.

Reiki II for Teens is also offered.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Reiki I.  If not a student of Patricia Parente Reiki for Reiki I, a copy of your certificate must be provided.
Class Length: Approximately 12-14 hours of class time; typically conducted over two days (not consecutive days unless requested) , plus independent study before Days 1 and 2.
Materials:  Use your manual from Reiki I, Reiki: The Healing Touch, First and Second Degree Manual; receive supplemental charts and materials from Patricia Parente Reiki.

Reiki Level II Refresher!

A 1-Day Review of Reiki II is offered for those who:

  • feel they need to brush up on the material / skills / session protocol; or
  • are working toward a Master Certification.

We will review symbols, when and how to use them; review techniques you may have lost sight of; receive an Attunement; spend the remainder of the day in hands on practice, working on session protocol, sharpening your skills and discuss creating healing plans for your clients.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Reiki II or above.  If not a student of Patricia Parente Reiki, a copy of your certificate must be provided.
Class Length: Approximately 7 hours of class time; conducted in one day.
Materials:  Use your manual from Reiki I, Reiki: The Healing Touch, First and Second Degree Manual; receive supplemental charts and materials from Patricia Parente Reiki.

Advanced Reiki Training

Advanced Reiki Training (“ART”) You will refine your hands-on skills, perform aura cleansing through hands-on work,  use tools such as creating a Reiki Grid, use of crystals, essential oils, pendulums and continue to develop your intuition.  Upon successful completion, you will be recognized as an Advanced Reiki Practitioner.  This course is required if you plan to take Level III Reiki Master training, as it guides and prepares you to become a Reiki Master should you decide to do so in the future.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Reiki I & Reiki II.  If not a student of Patricia Parente Reiki for Reiki I & II, a copy of your certificates must be provided.
Class Length: Approximately 7 hours of class time, conducted in one day.
Materials:  Receive a crystal, charts and materials from Patricia Parente Reiki.
Massage Therapists CE credit:  4.5 credit hours (NCBTMB AP#1285)

Reiki Master Training Level III – Practitioner (Shinpiden)

The Reiki Master Training Program (“RMT”) is preparation for those who plan to teach in the future.  RMT includes three workshops, an observed treatment, self-work or journaling and an interview to determine readiness.  Workshops include Master Symbol instruction, mission statement development, business administration practices, such as state legal requirements and insurance.  Practitioners must have an established treatment practice for a minimum of six months (ideally one year or more), must submit 24 signed client consent forms for review, and have taken two review classes of both Reiki I and Reiki II.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Reiki I, Reiki II & ART, and as described above.  If not a student of Patricia Parente Reiki for Reiki I, II and ART, a copy of your certificates must be provided and your attunements being received in person (prior to 2020).
Training Length: Master Practitioner Training is divided into three workshop segments, which allows the training to be easily tailored to your specific needs; segments total 8 hours of formal training.
Materials:  Receive the Reiki Master Manual and supplemental materials from Patricia Parente Reiki.
Exchange:  $675.00*
*If the student requests or needs extending the overall total of training beyond 8 hours, exchange for each hour over 8 hours will be at a rate of $100.00 per hour.

Reiki Master Teacher Training

Once you have attained your Reiki Master Practitioner designation, you may feel called to teach.  If so, contact Pat to schedule a training session during which you will receive guidance regarding class development.  Once developed and you teach an observed (or recorded) class, you will once again meet with Pat to review the class and receive your Reiki Master Teacher Certificate.

Prerequisites: As described above.
Training Length: Master Teacher Training is divided into two segments, which allows the training to be tailored to your specific needs; segments total approximately 4 hours of training.
Materials:  Supplemental materials as needed from Patricia Parente Reiki.
Exchange:  $300.00
